This year, the darkening has been different.
I’m still acutely aware, as usual, but the contraction and waiting has had a different flavor.
Wondering if this is the last one tempers things I guess.
Welcoming the return of the light.
12 hours and a bit to go before the turn.
But who’s counting?
Blessings of the solstice from my heart to yours.
May you feel comfort and warmth through the long night, and hope with the rising of the sun. #Solstice #WinterSolstice #SolsticeBlessings #HappyYule #SusanCooper #ShortestDay

Fox closed her eyes, felt the cold on her face
She smiled at the darkness, lost in winter's brace
Solstice had come, the promise of more light
Nature's cycle was done by end of this night
She wished all souls love with the return of the sun
and #SolsticeBlessings for everyone
