“Jaguar Land Rover (#JLR) is the latest #UK household name to fall victim to a major #cyberattack. #ITSystems across multiple sites have been offline for over a week after what the company described as a "severe disruption."

The attack stalled #production and dealer #operations across its global network on August 31, leading to shutdowns at its #Solihull plant, and meant that #UK dealers couldn't register new vehicles or supply parts. Its factories will remain closed until Wednesday at the earliest, according to reports earlier this week.

Since the attack, a group calling itself "#Scattered Lapsus$Hunters" has claimed responsibility – the same group claiming to be behind the #MarksAndSpencer breach. These hackers, believed to be teens, are now taunting the company and bragging about their actions on #Telegram, sharing screenshots of #information from supposedly inside JLR's IT system.”

We need to know the truth about Solihull Council's finances.

The Conservatives needed a £48 million lifeline to keep the council afloat. Now, they are having to pay back nearly £4 million a year of your money, while council tax goes up by 5% and your services are not improving.

The Conservatives say they aren't cutting services, but we've already seen charges for green waste collections, dimming of street lights, selling off public land and paying some council staff to quit early.

The Conservatives are trying to keep the scale of the financial challenges facing the council and what it means for you under wraps. There needs to be transparency about the seriousness of the situation.
