James Hastings, Scottish United Free Church minister, says that the position of women is particularly degraded in places where the teaching of Christ is unknown. Christ lifted women from being mere toy or slave of men.
Some may say women to not fare well under Christian fundamentalist movements. I say, if that’s true, it still is in no way counterevidence to Hasting’s premise!
