There was a time when I thought modesty meant hiding.
Now I think it means intention.

I’m not trying to provoke.
I’m just no longer interested in shrinking parts of myself to make strangers comfortable.

Skin is not arrogance.
It’s honesty.

And peace sometimes looks like sunlight, salt air, and finally stopping the negotiation with your own body.
