Ok it's not perfect but I got a sofabaton remote to work with the steam interface. I still need to wake my computer from sleep by pressing the powerbutton but at least I can navigate all of the UI with a remote now so I can watch TV normally. I thnk this is good enough to replace my AppleTV now. But I will probably end up getting the steam machine when it releases just for that improved living room TV experience.

For anyone considering buying the Sofabaton X1s remote, it doesn't seem to work well with SkyQ Mini boxes. Most of the time, it is laggy or doesn't work at all. It could also do with a record button (you can programme other buttons to do it, but it would be nicer to have a button). It seems great with Fire TV Cube and Xbox Series X so far, though. #SofabatonX1s #Sofabaton
