Thoughts on Xitter

I (sadly) still see people posting links to X here on Mastodon, even if their intentions are good. For example, if someone is trying to draw attention to something terrible posted over on Xitter, or to share an important news story that they happened to read there. (First of all though, why are they *still* using Xitter?)

ANYWAY… even if you have the best of intentions, please stop driving traffic over to Xitter! All you need to do is either grab a screenshot and post it here, or copy the link to the *actual* story that was posted on Xitter and post *that* here.

You can still draw attention to things that were posted on Xitter without having to drive traffic there, nor drive traffic *through* there to the actual desired news site.

(P.S. This also applies to anything Meta. Let’s stop feeding those beasts with traffic and links. That can be siphoned off, and we can still discuss them as needed without inadvertently helping bad actors.)

A team of biologists and geneticists at the University of Toronto at Mississauga has found a possible genetic basis for a central player in group connectedness. In their study, published in the journal Nature Communications, the group conducted genetic experiments with fruit flies.

شاید در لحظه نخست به این موضوع بخندید!
اما شاید اگر کمی در آن عمیق شویم ، عمق بهت‌آور و ترسناک ماجرا را کمی بیشتر درک کنیم!
بلاتشبیه بگویم یا نه، تفاوتی ندارد؛ صاحبان #شبکه_های_اجتماعی بزرگ دنیا ما را مثل همین گاو می‌پندارند! آری! این گاو از طریق عینک VR مراتع سرسبز تماشا می‌کند و در واقع چیز دندان‌گیری نمی‌خورد تا شیر بیشتری با هزینه کمتری بدهد!
برخی از ما همان گاو هستیم که شبکه‌های اجتماعی برایمان تمام آن #سرزمین رویایی است که تصور می‌کنیم #واقعیت است! در قبال دیدن چنین رویای زیبایی چگونه به صاحبان این شبکه‌ها شیر می‌دهیم ؟!
شبکه‌های اجتماعی قرار بود بین ما ارتباط بیشتری برقرار کنند، فاصله‌ها را کم کنند، ما را از خبرهای لحظه‌ای با #خبر کنند،کمی هم #سرگرمی برایمان به ارمغان بیاورند!
اما آنها ما را فریب می‌دهند، به ما #دروغ می‌گویند،ما را #سانسور می‌کنند ، ما را تغییر می‌دهند و البته اطلاعات ما را می‌دزدند...
