This is a lot of messy, off the cuff thoughts re: allowlisting in the Fediverse and the "social archipelago" idea for building a network. I'm putting this out here for now but I'll revise as I think more, gather feedback, etc.; if there's anything I should add, I would love to hear other thoughts on the subject.
