A must read about #NorthKorea !
#SouthKorea 's “Unification ministry issues English version of report on N. Korea's economic, social situation”
https://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/nation/2024/08/281_381540.html
The unification ministry said Friday it has published the English version of its report on North Korea's economic and social situation in a bid to help the international community better understand evolving changes in the North's society.
The #Kdrama #LoveAndante #사랑의안단테 premiered in a perfect time when the relationship between #SouthKorea & #NorthKorea is getting sour.
Can this show reignite their desire for #reunification of #Korea?
There was a time when the #Philippines was like South #Korea when it comes to #sports and coverage.
Filipinos used to be so much tuned into sports like the ASEAN Games, Asian Games, and #Olympics. Like in #SouthKorea, you'll see networks vying for official broadcast rights, and they'll put on-hold a lot of shows to give way for the broadcast.
Then came #CableTV and pay-per-view.
And also the sad reality that the Philippine government no longer cares about the Filipino #athletes. Believe it or not, for a country like the Philippines, most, if not all, of our athletes have to spend from their own pocket to get proper training … abroad.
This sad state eventually domino into stations only reporting, not broadcasting live (not even a delayed telecast) of their matches. And if the prediction for the athlete is that they won't win any way (against China and the US for example), they won't even bother reporting it.
Which in turn led to Filipinos no longer caring. TV networks have a huge influence to what the Filipino people “want to watch” and talk about.
Crazy. Gone are the days when we can watch Olympic matches regardless if a Filipino athlete is in the match or not. There are so few of us who cares about #sports these days.
I wonder how long #SoKor can keep their people's interest in sports alive and healthy?
My sports cheering order: #Philippines > #ASEAN > #Japan and South #Korea > #Micronesia
#SouthKorea #SoKor #Pilipinas #Asia #Micronesia #Sports #Olympics
Once again, #SouthKorea is the largest foreign tourists in the #Philippines, leaving the next (US) far behind.

Oh… wow. #SouthKorea / #SoKor (the #Korea) is getting ready to resume their loudspeakers directed towards #NorthKorea / #NoKor.
NoKor hates this tactic and many warned that using this again poses great risk of reigniting the Korean War (which never ended).
This is what #Russia predicted and thus they rushed making a military alliance with North Korea. If a new round of the Korean War breaks out, the alliance will be triggered and Russia can militarily support North Korea.
And if the US so much as injure a Russian personnel, the alliance between China and Russia (and Persia for that matter) will also be triggered. The US will be cornered, they cannot join the war directly because of this.
One mistake, that regional war can turn into a global war. Don't forget, the US is also involved in the China-Philippines row.
Also, Japan is involved in both the China-Philippines row and the Korean peninsula issue.
In simple words, the Axis of Evil (a.k.a. China-Persia-Russia + Russia-North_Korea) created a stalemate trap for the US. If the Korean War reignites, the US must never get involved directly. South Korea, and potentially Japan, are the only ones who can be involved directly.
Will the Philippines send support for South Korea like we did before?
More likely “no”. Why? Because they're needed here in case a China-Taiwan war breaks out, or the China-Philippines row escalates further.
Remember, the Marcos Jr. government allowed the US to set up bases around the Philippines to protect Taiwan.
Sending troops to Korea is itself very risky, and I wouldn't be surprised if China releases a statement before the Philippines to stop the Philippines from sending any support for South Korea.
Yep, stalemate for everyone. The Axis of Evil has the upper hand this round.
