Chicago voters took a jab at President Donald Trump this year when they chose “Abolish ICE” as the top choice in the “You Name a Snowplow” contest. The protest slogan proved a potent way for voters to jab at Trump after he sent Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers into the city and its suburbs last fall in a major immigration crackdown. ICE officers arrested more than 4,000 people, often clashing with citizens as well as immigrants. The other winners in the snowplow-naming contest included “Stephen Coldbert” for the late-night talk show host and “Pope Frio XIV” after Chicago native Pope Leo.
