For this weekend's photo I have gone for a snowy scene. Snow is quite rare where I live, maybe just 1-4 days of good snowfall a year. For it to fall on a non-work day so I can head out with the camera, even rarer.

The photo for this weekend captures the transition from Autumn into winter perfectly. We are seeing less snow most winters so to be able to capture Autumn leaves with snowy ground felt a real bonus.

The majority of December and early January has been very bleak weather-wise in the UK, with rain-heavy skies and sodden land. I have ventured out with my camera, slid and squelched my way across rain-soaked fields, but with few photos to show for all my efforts. I just wanted to hibernate.
