Mentre sullo sfondo resta il vero protagonista dell’intera vicenda – la Torino-Lione – con i suoi cantieri che continuano a incidere pesantemente sull’assetto del territorio, ancora una volta il nodo ferroviario torinese si trasforma in terreno di scontro tra grandi gruppi industriali. Con una delibera del 19 dicembre 2025, l’Autorità di Regolazione dei Trasporti ha imposto a Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) di garantire alla compagnia ferroviaria francese SNCF l’accesso agli impianti di servizio del nodo torinese in condizioni “eque e non discriminatorie”. Tradotto: i francesi devono poter utilizzare gli spazi di manutenzione e preparazione dei treni necessari per operare sull’alta velocità italiana. Un passaggio tecnico solo in apparenza. BenThe train is hauled by a B22200 series. Built between 1977 and 1986, 152 remain in operation today in France. This one is maintained in Chambéry along with 31 others. I only know this stuff because I picked up a Rail Passion and this months edition is all about them coincidentally.

I judge a city by it's churches and Indian restaurants, and Clermont-Ferrand is all right.
On the adjacent platform was one of those famously unreliable Intercités. I read that they are hauled by a 2nd locomotive now, for failover. I believe it, because there was a guy crawling underneath this one with a big wrench.
