I'm all about analog, but down this grotto my daylight cameras with ISO 200 film were pretty useless. So I used my phone to capture this breathtaking otherworld.

This is "La Merveilleuse", the (highly underrated) grotto of Dinant (Belgium).

Here we have part of the #MilkyWay.

Near the centre we have #Crux, the #SouthernCross, along with the #CoalSack.

Now to share a bit of what I have learned about how the traditional custodians of where I live call things.

Pretty much everywhere the Coal Sack is the head of Wetj, the Emu.

In #Whadjuck #Noongar lands, Crux is Waalitj, the Wedge-Tailed Eagle, but in #Yued lands Crux and the Pointers are Yongka - the kangaroo, with Crux forming the head, and the Pointers being the front paws.
