North Iceland at the end of November is tricky. Low daylight hours are a bigger issue than the south due to things being a bit more spread out.

It was a lot colder this time (down to -18c), but road conditions generally better than when we came in January '24.

Still loads more to see in the north, but that’s for another time (in the summer…)

La dernière éruption du Sundhnúkur a déversé environ 49 millions de m3 de lave (contre 61 pour celle d'août dernier).

Pendant ce temps, Un tremblement de terre de magnitude 3,3 s'est produit hier soir vers 23h dans le système volcanique de Ljósufjalla (Snæfellsnes), considéré comme actif sachant que la dernière éruption a eu lieu pendant le Landnámsöld (1er colons au IX/Xe siècles). Il s'agit du plus important séisme depuis le début des mesures dans les systèmes volcaniques du secteur.
