Smallmouth bass is one of my favorite fish species, next to trout. It is also a very tasty fish - sorry, one of the reasons I fish is to eat - I am a pescatarian, although I rarely catch smallmouth at the legal size from my usual creeks 😉
This one, about 11 inches, a little under legal size, was set free.
