#SmallTownBigStory I'd never heard of this so we gave it a spin and watched the 2nd episode straight after because it's excellent. Paddy Considine from MobLand is the co-star. Chris O'Dowd from The IT Crowd & Bridesmaids created, wrote and directed it. His imagination is more out there than mine.

The Turd Man: Decent conclusion to the first season. The fake show I Am Celt is hilariously hokey, and the alien plot reaches a neat conclusion, with Catherine nearly abducted and an encounter with an alien. I didn't expect it to go so deep on the sci-fi. #SmallTownBigStory

The Pen Is Mighty: Not sure it's as good as the previous episode, but still fine. The author turning out to be a ghostwriter is a fun twist, and Seamus losing his profession as a doctor because of his abduction claims escalates the drama well too. #SmallTownBigStory

An Dobhar Who?: This one is probably the best one so far. There's some good laughs, with Seamus's patients taking the mickey out of his alien confession, and Big Jim's struggles with the intimate sex scene with his co-star. It's the episode that most shows this #SmallTownBigStory

How Many People Does He Need?: Much stronger than the first episode. The auditions for the TV Series are fun, as is Wendy accidentally hiring someone who used to shoot gym adverts for her show. The abduction subplot is surprisingly weird, with Wendy having #SmallTownBigStory

The White Ridge: Bit of a mixed bag. I'm not totally sold on the comedy, but I still think the idea has potential when the American TV company starts filming in the town. Wendy and Seamus's backstory is the most interesting, tying into when they were teens and thinking they saw a UFO in the woods. #SmallTownBigStory
