Had planned to travel through France on the 10th but a rail strike saw me routing through Brussels instead.
This morning I thought I’d better check for strikes in Italy and lo, more planning fun! National rail strike 11th June.
It looks like my Intercity Notte will run from Milan but I don’t know if any trains will run from the Swiss border. Fun and games…

Did you know there is an actual desert inside #Greece? The Gomati sand dunes on #Lemnos stretch for kilometers inland. Stumbling into a desert landscape right in the middle of the sea is a strange feeling. I am curious: Do any of you deliberately choose difficult-to-reach places over huge #hotel chains for your summer trips? Habt ihr gewusst, dass es in Griechenland eine echte Wüste gibt? Auf #Lemnos ziehen sich die Sanddünen von Gomati kilometerweit ins Landesinnere.
