Alba has no money, and almost no remaining members. Mr Sleepy Cuddles is dead, their lone #MSP came as a defector but defected again, and there aren't enough transphobes to make it a going concern.

The #AlbaParty's death story has an extra layer of comedy: a #CunningPlan to resurrect the party's corpse.

Somehow, its all going to be sorted by a team of swinger #TommySheridan, teenage-duo-snoģger #AngusMacNeil, and #ChristinaHendry, niece of the late Mr #SleepyCuddles. 🙄

After an alleged misuse of funds, the party is £300,000 short of being able to field candidates in May. But this trio are going to make it all OK. #Magic! 😂🤣

Former Alba General Secretary #ChrisMcEleny has left the party with no money and no credible accounts, so it has to deregister by the end of March.

#AlexSalmond’s niece Christina Hendry has criticised the tribute to the former first minister at the #SNP conference as falling 'far short of what he deserved'.

It's almost as if #Salmond had done something to piss off the SNP. Like, y'know slagging off his successors, and founding a rival party to stand against them. And groping his staff for #SleepyCuddles.

But of course none of that ever happened, did it? 😉 That's why Eck's niece is so annoyed. 🙄

Looks like the party is over for Alba. It was a personal vehicle for #AlexSalmond, and without Salmond it has fallen apart. At its peak, it was a cult of SleepyCuddles And The #Transphobes, but without Mr #SleepyCuddles it has only acrimony.

Alba never won any seats in any election. AFAIK, its candidates all lost their deposits. The MPs who defected to #AlbaParty lost their seats in 2024, and without the absurd Ash Regan, Alba is just a handfull of local councillors.
