so why has President Donald Tantrump decided to allow the last nuclear arms limitation treaty to expire?
Obviously, that the Treaty was signed by "President Barack HUSSEIN Obama" played no part in his 'thinking'...
Nor could it be the imbecilic and demented malignant narcissist who occupies the Oval Office wrongly believes the Treaty actually imposes limitations on the number of Nobel Peace Prizes he may be awarded.
The end of ‘trust but verify’ Détente between the major nuclear powers also means an increased risk that other countries will begin/resume developing nuclear weapons.
And why not – they can point to the example of Ukraine, which gave up its nukes in 1994 for security guarantees from USA, UK and Russia, which were useless when Putin invaded in 2014, and 2022.

the biggest problem with #Trump's 'peace' plan for Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine lies in the refusal to rebut Putin's psyops attack asserting Ukraine cannot defeat Russia.
USA lost a war against an even smaller victim of its aggression, Vietnam (with aid from USSR).
Ukraine *can* defeat Putin's Russia with the *full* support of America and Ukraine's European allies.
