Sky TV Users Still Facing Outage on the Morning of 15 May

After switching off Televisions, trying to reboot the Sky box, and checking the service status page, Sky users slept on the night of 14 May, hoping to get

Anyone else using #Sky broadband or fibre had their router just start to randomly reboot?

As far as I can tell it started on Friday and about twice a day now the router seems to be dropping the WAN, voice and WiFi connections before sorting itself out.

I have just swapped my old Sky router for a a Sky Max Hub. I used to allow 443 to an internal server. I have added a port forward rule, but can't see how to allow it through the firewall. I am not sure if I need to set up Port Trigger (I have never heard of that). I also used to have Dynamic DNS setup. I can't seem to see that option. Anyone know if I can do that?

ISP Sky Broadband UK Deploying IP Address Sharing via MAP-T UPDATE

Some customers of Sky Broadband have noticed, via our forum (here), that the ISP has quietly deployed a modern type of Internet Protocol (IP) address sharing ca

Sky Broadband UK have started to deploy MAP-T (RFC7599) with their new Sky Hub Max router.

Mapping of Address and Port using Translation (MAP-T) allows IPv4 traffic to be carried over a IPv6 only network.
They are also sharing IPv4 addresses between customers but it looks like adding DMZ settings gives you a 1:1 mapping.

Sky Broadband starting to share IPv4 addresses between users

I've been with Sky Broadband for a while, recently re-contracted (on FTTP) and was sent a new Sky Hub Max router (which I didn't need, but I've swapped it over from the old Sky router anyway). As expected, got a change of WAN IP, so updated my ping monitor over at thinkbroadband and was...

Seems like #SkyBroadband is down across the UK and people are starting to realise what happens when you're forced to rely on the internet for so much.
Do UK ISPs Have Permission to Monitor IPTV Pirates & Share Their Data?

Major UK ISPs have obtained permission to track customers' piracy activities and share that information with anti-piracy groups.

TFW you go round the in-laws to plug in a VoIP box, so they can have cheap outgoing calls, and find that #SkyBroadband now supply routers with only two LAN ports, one of which is used by their digibox, and the other the TV. So now I get to go back with a switch... Sigh.
Has anyone got back up on Sky broadband yet?

Hmm. A bit weird. Tried to sign up with #NowBroadband but it crashes out when I put my mobile in with a "something went wrong; please call us" message. Tried #SkyBroadband instead (I know, same company); I get a technical error message after first form.

Is there a problem at Sky just as I'm trying to switch providers, or something weird about my mobile number that might cause an issue? I really do not want to call them.

Will try again tomorrow, but otherwise might have to go back to #Plusnet.
