Skoda has already delivered 107 trams to Helsinki, 15 more to come.
Both #Kaupunkiliikenne and the passengers have been happy with them, and there is a lot of chatter about how this happened, and ofc it's always sad when a finnish manufacturer doesn't win a major tender.

I'd like to eavesdrop on the Vantaa city government and also Kaupunkiliikenne's people. While they're bound by rules, this must've been difficult.

So, #Stadler won the tender for a lot of #tram to #Helsinki, instead of the well anticipated #SkodaTranstech .
Sure a bit of a surprise that Skoda's trams didn't meet all *1600* requirements? I'm burning to know what they all are and which ones were not met.
Ofc, Skoda has a chance to take this to the market court which I'm quite sure will happen (as it usually happens in tenders like these) but I have low hopes for that to bear fruit.

Today is the day our #tram project known as #RaideJokeri started operating with passengers. Launch was flawless, some very minor faults popped up in the first few hours which was expected to happen. I'd still call this day rather uneventful in the eyes of maintenance.
Of course I took my trip to #Keilaniemi and back, it is the first tram line to #Espoo.

Now I patiently wait for #Vantaa tram.
