I'm James, and I built my own proper #SmartHome (and I build them for others too).
I now review the tech that goes into them, and do how-to's whenever I come up with something that I think others might find interesting.
I use #HomeAssistant, #AppleHome and #SiriShortcuts primarily. But I've also recently delved into #3DPrinting to add another tool to my belt in solving problems around my home.

Sooo, neues #iPhone => #PersonalWorkflows in der Siri #Shortcuts App teilweise manuell neu anlegen. 🙄
Am Küchenschrank gibt's ein #NFC tag und das scanne ich immer, wenn ich die 1 kg #Xucker (Erythrit) Dose auffülle. So kann ich unseren durchschnittlichen Xuckerbedarf ermitteln. 🤓 Der #Workflow spuckt dann erst eine Notification mit den Infos aus und aktualisiert dann das Diagramm.
Prima, dass die beiden Apps #DataJar und #Charty eine so gute #SiriShortcuts Integration haben! 👍

A standout for me: A woman has seizures. So her husband built a shortcut for her phone that texts her GPS location to him, a message that says “I’m having a seizure,” and begins an audio recording for 20 minutes so they can log how long it lasts for her medical records. 🤯 #Apple #Shortcuts
