Enihuu, aamu alkoi alustamalla pöytäkoneeseen saatu kakkos-NVMe-levy ja kopioimalla sinne USB-levyllä tallessa olleet #Windows-#virtuaalikone'et (XP ja 10). #WinXP on jo muinainen asennus mutta toiminut vuosikaudet #SimCity3000-alustanani. #Win10 ei ehkä herää henkiinkään; sen ostin joskus rahoissa ollessani, joten tyystin putoa #Wintendo'n kelkasta. #atkjuttuja #miehenelämää

From its original CD-ROM, SimCity 3000 just didn't work for me on Windows 95. After some research, I could finally locate the official patches to v1.1 in English and German from 1999. Problem solved!

I got the Loki Linux port of #SimCity3000 set up on my Win98/Slackware 7.1 rig. Performance wasn't very good due to issues with the video card (XFree86 doesn't really like my ViRGE/GX2 AGP so I'm running it in fbdev/VESA mode) but it ran and was fully playable!

I tried it on the LFS 6.1.1 setup I just finished building on my WinXP machine but it wouldn't run due to a too-new glibc. I'm using 2.3 and it wants 2.1.
