You trust noone!

Espechally not @signalapp which demand Phone Numbers, and thus can trivially help in deanonymizing and localizing users.

They shouldn't have that info to begin with, as there's no "legitimate reason" to mandate it, much less to collect and store it on aws!
- As more and more juristictions literally outlaw anonymous [Prepaid-]SIMs [even retroactively!] they enable themselves to supporting "Murder by Metadata"

Not that it matters: It merely paywalls obtaining SIMs and eSIMs to a payment to some dodgy site or asking the right people at the right place the right questions and paying a premium.
- It's blatant cyberfascism under false pretenses!

@passocacornio yes and one can already see that, with Smartphones advertising as "Dual-SIM" when they have only a single Nano-SIM and an eSIM option, but nit real DUAL-SIM…

Kinda how every garbage platform claims to do "End-to-End Encryption" but doesn't allow Self-Custody of all the keys.

The main advantage is that one doesn't need a dr0p to get an eSIM, which simplifies things…
