@fontlab has native slider(s) since version 6.
In version 5, one could even find one in the Metrics Window, that was the #MultipleMaster technique though, and not #VariableFonts.

To animate Silver Coil one best loops from 100 to 700 ♾️. By looping from 700 to 100 in the background, one can create the illusion of a full 360° tube.

Decomposing took a long time, because the automatic function would delete all invisible parts. Without decomposition, the font would glitch in many environments.
The website of https://fontspectrum.com just has been updated.

With this font, Edgar flies solo. Inspired by the rotating letters of Daniël, he dug out an old concept developed during the MultipleMaster era.
