W Social ist "yet another anti-X" (JAAX) Ansatz der mit EU-Washing versucht, schnell viel Kohle zu scheffeln. Hinter W steht DMTG, eine Saudi-Arabische Investorengruppe, die u.A. von der EHM Holding GmbH in Deutschland finanziert wird. Diese finanziert u.A. auch We Don't Have Time, eine Gruppe die in der letzten Zeit durch intransparente Geschäfte mit der Klimapolitik aufgefallen ist.
W Social ist ein Silo, genau wie X oder die Meta Apps, kontrolliert von einer Investoren-Gruppe und intransparent bis zum Abwinken. "Made in Europe" ist erst mal kein Qualitätszeichen, besonders wenn die Kontrolle dieses Made in Europe in der Hand von King Saud ist.
Nur kleine, transparente, Systeme, ohne Silo, ohne Monopol, können technische und soziale Freiheiten garantieren. Das Fediverse kann. Die EU hat in das Fediverse investiert, Mastodon, Peertube, Pixelfed. Statt eine dreiviertel Milliarde in ein weiteres Silo zu stecken, nur dass man "fuck USA" rufen kann während man den gleichen Scheiß abzieht, das ist, leider, typisch EU und ganz und gar nicht im Sinne Europas.
