I finished book 1 from the #thewooltrilogy, which appears to cover the first two seasons of #siloappletv

I’m now onto the second book, Shift…and I’m not warming to it. I may park that until season 3 is out and let the book fill in the blanks left out by the show.

The first book was quite different to how I remember the series, particularly in Silo 17. #bookstodon

I'm halfway through the TV series Silo. It has been great so far and I'm quite nervous it's going to go south. I had the same concern with The Diplomat but that was very well done and I'm looking forward to season 2, where I'll have the same concern 😂

Anyone have any recommendations on excellent recent shows in this type of a genre?

Yes!! I’ve been hoping this would happen:

“Apple TV+ announced a season two renewal for Silo, the dystopian sci-fi mystery currently streaming on the service. The decision doesn’t come as much of a surprise: the series is a huge hit.”

So many mysteries to uncover than can probably be done in this season. I can’t wait! (But am ready to be patient through the writer’s strike.)

The premise really does pull one in even as the questions grow: “After a wave of dystopian stories in the first half of the 2010s, most of the premises in this genre feel a bit tired. ... The show makes [its] premise feel grounded and real but also allows for doubt to seep in as the characters begin to question whether the premise is as real as they think it is.”

I’ve really been enjoying this show. It just pulls you in with so many questions and a desire to learn the truth of what’s going on along side the main characters. Glad to see it’s being so well received!
