In better news, PKP PLK has determined some relatively minor work can bring the Rybnik-Chałupki line from 60 (north of Wodzisław) and 80 (south of Wodzisław) (and apparently some 30 point restrictions) to 120 km/h. Additionally, the fromer passing loop near Czyżowice (https://www.bazakolejowa.pl/index.php?dzial=stacje&id=13027&okno=start) will be rebuilt. This is expected to improve travel times by up to 4 minutes.
