#LeighBardugo trilogy:
#ShadowAndBone
#SiegeAndStorm #RuinAndRising

The first #book itself did not convince me. The world was interesting for its own #grisha systems, but the story itself and the characters felt a bit empty and cliché.

However, even the first book was enough to make me want to read the next one.
By the middle of the second book, the story and characters became more interesting. Or the suction of the story was already pulling me with it.

She is shackled on a whaler and it seems they are going to use them to find something idk any other reason than that at this point. Maybe a control thing with the darkling.

Genya doesn’t believe Alina that they are though when she tells her and still goes with the darkling side. And with how that last book ended I’m not sure why or how and we didn’t get a good answer from Genya other than there was an incident.

Chapter 2:

So yeah it’s kind of interesting how she gets captured again and I partly think it’s because she was sick because she wasn’t using her powers but anyways it doesn’t really matter.

Also we get a glimpse into why Mal didn’t receive the letters either. Genya didn’t send them and honestly she admitted she was never her friend to begin with.

Okay so yeah so far the first chapter is interesting that she gets sick again after not using her powers.

The weird shadow creature is very interesting and alarming at best. It seems like a cool parlor trick and yet it can cause damage.

We will see what happens. So far I don’t remember any mention of blood.

The thank you is quite ironic too and like ewww
