A very nice movie of HUVECs stained with our live cell actin probe SiR-actin. It compares YES kinase depletion by siRNA to a control siRNA in a collective migration assay.
Read more about YES kinase, its VE-Cad phosphorylation and endothelial adherens junctions in this very nice article in Nature Cardiovascular Research by the lab of Lena Claesson-Welsh:

Tyrosine-protein kinase Yes controls endothelial junctional plasticity and barrier integrity by regulating VE-cadherin phosphorylation and endocytosis - Nature Cardiovascular Research
Jin and coauthors show that Yes-mediated tyrosine phosphorylation is critical for VE-cadherin’s constitutive internalization and junctional pliability in endothelial cells, but it is not required for the induction of vascular leakage.
