Nothing quite like having a dismay troll to rain on your parade. The petition has already connected people across European nations and in that sense achieved an important purpose. If we can get it across the line, so much the better.
A reminder: If someone nominally on your side of an issue speaks to you in an abusive manner, you're still allowed to block.
It's ok. You're not obliged to let yourself be abused, and abusers hide in many shapes.
