Animals Around The Globe
I've removed what I think are six shrews so far and there's one around today. Might be one of the same ones again. I tried dabbing an acrylic paint marker on the back of the last one I caught but the paint wouldn't stay on its fur. I wonder how field biologists do this 🤔

I left a live catch trap for a few hours yesterday and something bullied it around, tripping it and moving it out of place. I think I might set up a webcam just to see what's going on when I'm not at my desk.

My lovely #Science peeps!

Not enough characters to go into detail, but ...

In 2014, #Dutch scientists left a #hamster wheel outside, to see if wild animals would use it like their domesticated counterparts.

Did they? Oh, YES! Wild #mice, #rats, #shrews, #slugs, even #frogs & #snails *

Why? Apparently for FUN! 😄

(#Fun defined as getting on, off, then willingly getting back on.)

*Snails were disqualified b/c they couldn't slime in a straight line 😳
