It’s been 5 months since shoulder surgery and I’m happy to be getting a little more muscle definition back. It’s not a lot but something is better than nothing, but it’s not what it was but in time it will be. I’m just happy I didn’t get a popeye sign because of the type of shoulder surgery I had. My butterflies are a little more noticeable than I’d hoped but I’ll probably put a tattoo over them in time. #trans #transselfie #recovery #shouldersurgery #rebuilding #transmasc

well the continuation of installation of "bionic" replacement parts has been officially scheduled. New left shoulder will be installed on June 18 #ShoulderSurgery

if you see this and have had, or know someone who has had shoulder replacement surgery I'd like to talk with you. Looks like I'm going to be doing this in June and am interested in how you/they planned for it and how you/they managed with being in a sling for six weeks. I am 9 days post rotator cuff repair and bicep tenodesis. It has not been as horrible as I feared, but I do feel like tossing my sling in a fire pit.

In a pharmacy tonight I saw my shoulder surgeon. We were both wearing masks.

Me: Dr. Lastname?
Her: Yes?
Me: It's me, Rebecca Townsend. (I proceed to lift up my arm and rotate it) You did a great job! Thank you for all your help! I'll see you later this month!
Her: Great to hear!

I then begin to wonder how many of her #RotatorCuffSurgery patients wave their whole arms in greeting. Will have to ask her later this month.
