The wasps have finally completely left the nest by mid-November. All summer long, there was tons of activity with dozens of wasps buzzing around.

Finalmente las avispas han abandonado completamente el nido a mediados de noviembre. Durante todo el verano ha habido mucha actividad con docenas de avispas.

Endlich haben die Wespen ihr Nest Mitte November komplett verlassen. Den ganzen Sommer über war jede Menge los, mit dutzenden von Wespen.

was kind enough to pose for me in different positions. I took the photos with an iPhone 15 Pro and a homemade lens to focus up close and get that bokeh and shallow depth of field.

Ein kleines Mantis (ich glaube, es ist eine Ameles spallanzania) hat sich netterweise für mich in verschiedene Posen gesetzt. Ich habe die Fotos mit einem iPhone 15 Pro und einer selbstgebastelten Linse gemacht, um nah ranzugehen und dieses Bokeh und die geringe Tiefenschärfe zu bekommen.

This is one of my favorite photos, taken with an iPhone 13 mini and a homemade lens for close focusing. That’s why there’s so little depth of field. I assure you the photo is not edited. This Heliophanus tribolosus, watching over its territory from a blue jasmine, is a tiny jumping spider barely 3 or 4 mm long.

Esta es una de mis fotos favoritas, hecha con un iPhone 13 mini y una lente casera para enfocar de cerca. Por eso hay tan poca profundidad de campo. Os aseguro que la foto no está editada. Esta Heliophanus tribolosus que vigila su territorio desde un jazmín azul es una pequeña araña saltarina de apenas 3 ó 4 mm.

Das ist eins meiner Lieblingsfotos, aufgenommen mit einem iPhone 13 mini und einer selbstgebastelten Nahlinse. Deshalb gibt’s so wenig Tiefenschärfe. Ich schwöre, das Bild ist nicht bearbeitet. Dieser Heliophanus tribolosus, der von einem blauen Jasmin aus sein Revier im Blick hat, ist ein winziges Springspinnchen von gerade mal 3 oder 4 mm.

Conocida en España como araña escupidora no hace telarañas, las escupe como spiderman con sus quiliceros modificados.

Der Name "Leimschleuderspinne" oder "Speispinne" kommt daher, dass sie wie Spiderman aus ihren Kieferklauen einen klebrigen, seidenartigen Sekret auf ihre Beute spucken. Sie bauen keine Netze.
