Whew! Did it! Just under 2400 words total with some notes to add details as I edit later.
I don't know if this will be good enough to get me to the next round, but I'm proud of it.
Romance is wildly outside my wheelhouse, but I think I did okay.

Ugh. Got a sore throat, a loud dryer 10 feet away, and a later start than I wanted.
But I've also got developmental edits for "The Stuff Legends are Made of" tomorrow, and only 4 days left to write 950 more words and edit the crap out of this short story.

Wow! I wrote over 1500 for this post-apocalyptic/romance short story today. With a limit of 2500, I ought to finish it tomorrow.
The beginning is rough, but I think I found my groove after the first few hundred words. Not bad for not writing prose for a few months!
