@RamenCatholic here, I lost the tablet logged onto this account for a while. While I was looking for it, I kept getting distracted by the other lost stuff that kept finding. In related news, I've gotten a good start on clearing out my bedside horde!

I'm going to try and post more of my religious & spiritual conversations & rants over here. Please feel free to use the hashtag #ShortSermon with me!

#FreedomOfReligion must always include #FreedomFromReligion to be a legitimate #Freedom

- RamenCatholic's #ShortSermon on #ReligiousLiberty

I'm making some tri-fold #ReligiousTracts for #WokeJesus - I'd like some handouts for #Pride for a #EverthingJesusSaidAbout series.

Below are the drafts of some covers, check out my #ShittyArt πŸ˜„ The insides of the #pamphlets are blank (except for a brief commentary section, ofc, to debunk BS).

Which sketch do you "like" best?

#ShortSermon: #EatDrinkAndBeMerry

I read a thing* recently about Jesus & his relationship with food, and I've really been thinking about that recently.

Jesus loved food and drink, and to feed other people.

So, when someone asks, "What Would Jesus Do?" He'd eat, drink, and be merry!

(I suspect he'd also enjoy cannabis & mushrooms, but that's considered non-canon).

Some of you may note that I #reblog a lot of #AntiReligious stuff for a #minister

I'm not #AntiReligion, I'm anti- #BeingAnAsshole

(Unfortunately, there's a lot of noisy assholes in today's pews & they can be louder than the songs of praise).

I believe in #ReligiousLiberty & #ReligiousLiteracy, both of which seem to always be in peril. Also, #Atheist #memes are really funny. #FiteMe

BUT, there are positive #religious organizations out there - check out @YaleDivinitySchool

We're highly #intelligent, but we ain't a very #smart species.

My writing skills have gotten rusty, and I'm having problems writing anything longer than a #ShortSermon

I'm trying to work on an #OpenLetter #sermon to the Christians who drive people away from Christianity with their hypocrisy (using the same logic they used on me: "If you wear a short skirt & it leads a man to sin ... Well, that's your fault for leading him to sin.")

#Discussion - What's your favorite variation of the #GoldenRule or other #quote about how to #BeExcellentToEachOther ?

I like this quote, commonly attributed to John Wesley, that shows what #ReligiousEthics *should* be:

β€œDo all the good you can,
by all the means you can,
in all the ways you can,
in all the places you can,
at all the times you can,
to all the people you can,
as long as ever you can.”

This is the #introduction for a series of 5 short lessons about #Americanism as a form of civil religion.

He asks us to consider "what do we learn about American culture, behavior, and beliefs when we consider them through the lens of religion?"

Tsundoku "is the Japanese word for the stack(s) of books you’ve purchased but haven’t read."

#TLDR - surrounding yourself with #books is good.

#Sermon - The #unread books in one's personal #library serve as a valuable reminder of how much we #DontKnow

That #wisdom is as important as the #knowledge gained from the books you've already read

What our shelves of unread books teach us about ourselves

Many readers buy books with every intention of reading them, only to let them linger on the shelf. The Japanese call this practice tsudoku.
