Days since I had to report a major Canadian retailer to their marketing mail host for not honouring marketing communications preferences, sending non-working links for "manage your preferences" or "unsubscribe", having a non-working link in the List-Help: header of an unsolicited marketing email, and having a website that errors out when trying to use the "contact us" function:

Hello from them all. Very scant pickings as far as Halloween candy goes at this #ShoppersDrugMart. Some chips, but with only seemingly four chips per Halloween size bag, not worth opening. Other than that it's those god-awful chewy Tootsie roll candies, some suckers, and I guess some suckers like me who thought they would have more of a selection. They seem pretty cleaned out.

I love how accessible our #ShoppersDrugMart app up here in the great white north is. The only complaint I have with it is that there's no option to have your meds delivered. You could submit a request to have them refilled, but then you still have to call the store on the phone if you want them delivered. To me, that completely negates the use of the app because you can just tell them on the phone that you need a refill and that you want them sent out in the same call. #DoBetter people.

I'm really glad that the #ShoppersDrugMart app is completely accessible. For my fellow #Canadian Mastodonians who use shoppers to get their prescription meds. You will get a push notification when your meds are ready to be picked up. And you can request refills if you have repeats. If you don't, you can ask that renewal request to be sent to your doctor for approval. My local store makes you wait on hold for seemingly ages. All the wild reiterating over and over again how important your call supposedly is to them.

Another reason (besides #GalenWeston) to avoid #ShoppersDrugMart is that their overengineered web site somehow doesn't work in #Firefox on #Linux. Had to use my phone* to renew prescriptions.

* For one script, Chrome on phone did it. For the other I had to make a phone call and use the voice-menu system. Web site can't renew if no repeats left. Phone will send request to doctor, but only after trying to sell an extra-cost service to renew without the doctor. It may be sleazy but it is stupid.
