@thomasbeagle The current technologies are 1. vintage first-gen Polaroid (works in the original cameras, probably too expensive and fetishistic for casual use), 2. modern second-gen Polaroid (never seen in real life, not clear if it’s even real), 3. Instax (mostly Fuji), and 4. Zink (was supposed to be third-gen Polaroid, used by everyone else). The different brands etc are all badge-engineered: the printing bit is always made by Alps and assembly is always done by Foxconn. Most of the Zink cameras offer a hybrid somewhere in the range, that will print instants but also record them as a conventional digital photo. I like the Canon Ivy/Zoe/whatever, personally, and plan on using one for the next #shittycamerachallenge.
