Shining Girls on AppleTV+ was really good. Except it felt EXTREMELY slow. I get that it’s like a psychological semi-sci-fi murder mystery that finally wrapped up into a mostly decent bow in the last episode. However, it felt frustrating to watch, almost like a chore because of how slow the plug moved or how little was revealed in each episode. I feel like it started to finally make sense and pay off in ep6, where you finally discovered how the antagonist (Harper) was murderring through time. And don’t get me wrong, the later half of the show did pay off, it was still a drudge to watch.
All of that said, still a well thought out show with excellent writing, seamless VFX, and a unique story.

Great show; only would recommend to a very specific type of person who likes thriller/murder mysteries.

@Jennifer_Pinkley #Severance is great. If you’re into sci-fi you should definitely watch #Foundation and #ForAllMankind, both of which are excellent. #Blackbird and #ShiningGirls are also very good, though somewhat disturbing. #AppleTVPlus

It’s rather annoying that a truly great show like #ShiningGirls has this fantastic final piece of music that takes us into the credits but instead of letting it just sit we need to cancel a jump to some other random show.

#Apple: you’ve got my money. I watched the show. Don’t mess with the denouement until the show is done. It disrespects the viewers and the creators.

I know that Apple does less of this than any other streaming service but seriously. Don’t do ANY of this shit.
