Marco Liorni racconta il suo legame speciale con Grace, pastore tedesco di 9 anni, al Corriere. Un legame forte, come sa chi ha in famiglia un animale: “A Grace la televisione non piace, non la guarda mai – scherza il conduttore de L’Eredità – se i telespettatori fossero come lei, avrei ascolti sotto l’1%”. Tutte le sere, Liorni tiene compagnia al pubblico con il suo game show riuscito e molto amato e ogni volta che torna a casa, dopo le puntate “Grace si mette a cuccia e non mi toglie gli occhi di dosso. Mia moglie Giovanna per scherzare dice che mi guarda le gambe“.
Poi il racconto va a quando Grace è arrivata a casa Liorni: “Quando le mie due figlie erano piccole decidemmo di prendere un cane. Lo desideravamo di piccola taglia e lo andammo a cercare al canile dove però i cuccioli si trovano con difficoltà. Allora spostammo la scelta su un boxer, adorabile con i bambini. In quei giorni ospitai a La vita in diretta un veterinario che mi consigliò di andare a visitare l’allevamento di Rignano Flaminio, comune dove tra l’altro è nata Giovanna. Non avevamo intenzione di adottare un pastore tedesco e la vivemmo come una gita. Invece ci innamorammo a prima vista di Grace e la portammo subito via”.
Con la cagnolona c’è stata un educazione basata sull’uso “appropriato i premietti. Il segreto è lavorare sulle intenzioni del cane e dare ordini prima che scatti per compiere un’azione. Marco Liorni recounts his special bond with Grace, a 9-year-old German Shepherd, to Corriere. A strong bond, as anyone who has a pet knows: “Grace doesn’t like television, she never watches it – jokes the host of L’Eredità (The Inheritance) – if the viewers were like her, my ratings would be under 1%.” Every evening, Liorni keeps company with the public with his successful and much-loved game show, and every time he returns home after the episodes “Grace settles down in her bed and doesn’t take her eyes off me. My wife Giovanna jokingly says she watches my legs.”
Then the story goes on to when Grace arrived at Liorni’s home: “When my two daughters were small, we decided to get a dog. We wanted a small one and we went to look for it at the animal shelter where puppies are difficult to find. So we shifted our focus to a boxer, adorable with children. During those days, I hosted a veterinarian on La Vita in Diretta (Life Live) who advised me to visit the Rignano Flaminio breeding farm, the town where my wife Giovanna was also born. We had no intention of adopting a German Shepherd and we experienced it like a trip. Instead, we fell in love with Grace at first sight and immediately took her home.”
With the lovable dog, there was an education based on the appropriate use of rewards. The secret is to work on the dog’s intentions and give commands before it acts. Scolding or punishing it after it has messed up is wasted time.” She doesn’t enter the kitchen and doesn’t get on the bed but is “one of the family,” says the host, “you don’t notice that she’s a dog.”
