There was something outside of the door. Celia couldn't see it, but she could hear it. It had a low growl in its throat that told her it was big, and its stench wafted through the crack beneath the door.
But Celia was safe. She knew that deep in her bones. In front of her was Georgie, and behind her was Melanie. The metal of Melanie's cane caressed Celia's bare leg, promising pleasure or pain - whichever Celia desired.
"What do you desire?" Georgie cooed, as if she could read Celia's mind.
Celia swallowed hard in anticipation. Georgie was naked before her, and her bare breasts were a sight to behold. They were all naked, in fact. Melanie's free hand caressed Celia's hip.
"If you're stuck for inspiration, I have a few ideas," Melanie breathed in her ear.
Outside, the beast was banging on the door, demanding to be let in. But it couldn't come in. No matter what happened, the Prophet and the Fearless One would protect her.
"I..."
The beast banged on the door again.
And the Celia jolted awake, her confused mind processing that someone was knocking on the door of her flat. She stumbled out of bed, tugged on the first clothes she could find, and opened it to reveal Georgie.
But it wasn't quite the Georgie of her dreams. It was this universe's Georgie, who was wonderful and sturdy and smart, but who knew nothing of apocalypses.
"Morning, sleepy head," Georgie said.
"I overslept, didn't I?" Celia realized with a wince. They had a Sheeple Chase recording session scheduled.
"You did," Georgie said, so I brought you a bagel. She thrust the foodstuff Celia now saw she was holding at Celia, and the Celia took it. As Georgie let her arm fall again, Celia's eyes drifted to her bosom, and she felt her face grow hot at the memory of her dream. Hastily, she took a bite of the bagel.
"Thanks," she said through the mouthful. She swallowed. "Give me a moment, and I'll be ready."
