Quasi 200 persone sono rimaste ferite, 11 delle quali in modo grave, negli attacchi dell'Iran contro le città meridionali di Dimona e Arad di ieri, dopo che la difesa aerea israeliana non è riuscita a intercettare almeno due missili balistici. Tra i feriti gravi negli attacchi nel sud del Paese figurano un ragazzino di 12 anni, colpito da schegge durante l'attacco a Dimona, e una bambina di 5 anni, ferita nel successivo attacco ad Arad. Secondo i media statali iraniani, gli attacchi erano diretti contro l'impianto di ricerca nucleare israeliano, situato a circa 10 chilometri da Dimona e a 30 chilometri da Arad.
Inoltre una persona è rimasta uccisa in un presunto attacco con un missile anticarro nella località di confine settentrionale di Misgav Am. Lo riportano i media israeliani, aggiungendo che le Forze di Difesa stanno indagando su un presunto attacco di Hezbollah proveniente dal Libano. Channel 12 scrive che l'uomo era rimasto intrappolato nel suo veicolo, nella località dell'Alta Galilea, a seguito di un attacco anticarro. Secondo l'emittente di Israele si tratta del terzo attacco in un'ora, in precedenza, gli allarmi erano scattati nel centro, nelle pianure, a Sharon, nell'area di Gerusalemme e nel Sud.
Gli Emirati Arabi Uniti hanno infine annunciato che le difese aeree del Paese hanno reagito agli attacchi missilistici e dei droni provenienti dall'Iran. Come riporta Ynet, il ministero della Difesa emiratino ha dichiarato che sono state effettuate diverse intercettazioni. Anche l'Arabia Saudita, riporta la Bbc, ha riferito di di aver intercettato attacchi questa mattina, con due missili caduti in un'area "disabitata".

The United Arab Emirates finally announced that the country’s air defenses had reacted to missile and drone attacks originating from Iran. As reported by Ynet, the UAE’s Ministry of Defense stated that several interceptions had been carried out. The BBC also reports that Saudi Arabia reported intercepting attacks this morning, with two missiles falling in a “uninhabited” area.
