New Zealand minister sparks backlash over India trade deal remarks
Remember, Shane Jones didn't always support white nationalism.

New Zealand minister sparks backlash over India trade deal remarks
Also, is it just me, or has Shame Jones started looking like one of the skeksis from The Dark Crystal?

I wonder where his gentle mystic half is hiding out, maybe Golden Bay or Coromandel? Maybe there's a Motherstone we could find and return the missing half of, so we can save old Otis Claw from this half-man state of being?
The Minister of Environmental Destruction Shane Jones doesn't like critics. After several prominent Otago people opposed Santana's fast track to Hades, Jones offered to debate Ian Taylor in public.
The gauntlet was thrown and Taylor agreed. The debate was scheduled for April 8th at Taylor's studios and would be streamed by the ODT and Stuff.
Today Jones pulled out of the deal, saying he would not take part in any debate ‘"controlled by the Otago media".
Since when has Stuff been an Otago media company?
Santana plans a cyanide-leach gold operation storing arsenic-bearing tailings in a dam located in a seismically active region at the headwaters of major water systems.
It's a project which would never be approved under 'normal' conditions and Jones has realised that he'll lose any public debate with Taylor. So the blowhard Minister is running away.
This reminds me of the time Shane Jones got caught charging hotel porn to his ministerial expenses. The guy's been an utter wanker for decades.
Taylor says the debate will go ahead anyway using a cardboard cut-out of Jones.
Once again we see #National using a party with only 6% support (#NZFirst) to justify screwing over 100% of us

Central Otago mayor Tamah Alley takes issue with Shane Jones' claim that the region was ripe for mining because it's "largely empty". Her response?
"Largely empty is not available everywhere."
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day ...
"No one will be any doubt that the days of treating energy prices as a private commodity and expecting the market to save New Zealand jobs and regional New Zealand, that type of folly in our view, has run its course."

The solution though is not fast tracking more coal and gas, but taking advantage of how easy and *cheap* it is to decentralise renewables compared to building thermal generation.

Has Shane Jones gone on a bender?
OceanaGold wants to expand its Macraes mining operation. However based on scientific assessments, the Otago Regional Council has recommended the application be declined in full.
So the Minister for Masturbation let fly, suggesting the council is packed with communists. He referred to the ORC as "the Kremlin of the South Island" and claimed the council was full of "KGB green zealots"... "Politburo apparatchiks destroying hundreds of jobs".
Poor Shane. As he sees it, his role as Minister of environmental destruction is being challenged. Poor snowflake.
The ORC maintains the moral high ground. "It is a technical, evidence-based assessment — not a political statement." "Our staff are simply doing their jobs within the law as it stands. Name-calling only undermines confidence in both central and local government."
Jones wants to kill the regional councils so all mining decisions stay with him. He reckons other mining companies should simply use the fast-track process to bypass these silly environmental laws.
Shane Jones is still an utter wanker.

The oil-sniffing oik who is NZ's "resources minister" wants to break up the Department of Conservation and open up protected land for exploitation.
Luxon's leadership failure bestows these fringe extractionists with more power than they deserve. While acting like the fifth horseman of the apocalypse, Shane Jones only received 18% of his electorate vote and came in on the list for the 6% party.
Unless Luxon grows a spine, it's 'Burn baby, burn' for NZ First.
All the way to hell.
