@jamesgbradbury @BenjaminBuse In addition we’re constantly bombarded with ads, images, information, pictures, stories, movies, books, magazines, etc all telling us how uninteresting, plain, boring and horrible our own regions are and how beautiful and fun places far away are. This also in addition to the annual and continuous social competition of having the greatest vacation ever.
