On the 17th of December, which is International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers, we will be hosting a Goodbye Party at 7pm in Connolly Books in Dublin, so please come along to say goodbye and celebrate our collective victories over the past years. We will have copies of our “Sex Worker Awareness Toolkit” and our “Decriminalisation and Sex Work FAQ” available.

Vigil At The Dáil - International Day To End Violence Against Sex Workers

WEDNESDAY 17 DECEMBER 5.30pm VIGIL AT THE DÁIL

December 17th is International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers.

Every year, we come together to remember and honour sex workers lost to violence. This gathering is also a call for change.

Please join us and the Street Workers Collective Ireland for a vigil at the gates of the Dáil at 5.30pm on Wednesday to memorialise sex workers who have died in Ireland in recent years and speak out against the laws that make sex work more dangerous.

Today in Labor History June 2, 1975: 100 sex workers occupied that Saint-Nizier church in Lyon to protest against police repression. They demanded that all their convictions be reversed. The police evicted them after a week. However, soon after, a judge cancelled their upcoming prison sentences.
