It took 54 days after October 7th for the United Nations Agency for Women's Rights to me say in light of the undeniable evidence piling up that quote Israeli women are worthy of safety. End quote. That was their response. We need to remember all of those heartbreaking facts.

Just let that sink in for a moment. 483 days. Albert has had also said that she
tried to take her own life a few times in captivity because of what she went through, but she stopped attempting to
do that after seeing her face on a poster in hostage square in Tel Aviv. realizing that people were fighting for her. You can't not look at this brave young woman without thinking about international women organizations around the world. All those who stayed silent or worse were skeptical about what Israeli women went through, who demanded evidence and details and context, who treated these women differently simply due to their place of birth as if it was in any way their fault.

Albed had said in that interview that she wasn't able to watch stories of other survivors. Though what changed for her was when former hostage Romy Gunen revealed recently that she had been sexually assaulted repeatedly by terrorists before being transferred underground with other captives.

Arbel had said about listening to Romi describing her experience. She said this, "I went through this from the beginning to the end of my captivity."

Neo Akpofure fights back: BBNaija star sues accuser over rape claim

On 18 February 2026, solicitors for Neo Akpofure served a legal notice to Ms Arikan Udoka, demanding a retraction and public apology. The move follows her 17 February 2026 social media posts alleging the star raped her at the University of Calabar over a decade ago.

The reality television star has officially moved to silence a storm of damaging allegations. After 24 hours of viral debate, his legal team sent a stern notice to the woman behind the claims. This swift response shows his intent to clear his name through the Nigerian legal system.

Fans and observers watched in shock as the story developed across social media platforms. The case has quickly shifted from a public call-out to a high-stakes legal battle. This situation mirrors the tension seen when Mr. Macaroni accused a political supporter of lying regarding similar sensitive criminal claims.

Legal team demands public apology

Solicitors from E. L. Akpofure, SAN & Co. issued a formal letter to Ms Arikan Udoka. The firm described the rape allegations as “entirely false, malicious and defamatory” in the document dated 18 February 2026. They noted that the accuser admitted to a past consensual relationship while making the criminal claim.

”It is clear from the above content that you admitted that you and our Client were engaged in a casual, consensual sexual relationship (“casual sex buddies”). Notwithstanding this admission, you falsely accused our Client of rape — an extremely grave criminal offence.” The legal firm wrote.

The lawyers have given the accuser exactly 48 hours to meet their strict demands. These demands include deleting the viral posts and issuing a clear, unequivocal public retraction. This legal pressure follows the same path as recent cases where Innocent Megbolu faced a jail term after a court found him guilty of similar crimes.

Accuser wipes social media history

Following the legal threat, the woman identified as “the violently wicked” (@notralia) has deleted the original tweets. Before the deletion, she had claimed the star assaulted her after she confronted him over a relationship issue. She even expressed a willingness to swear at a traditional shrine to prove her truth.

”sue? no. make we go shrine swear, make who dey lie kpai.”

The lady wrote before the legal notice arrived.

”Neo Akpofure is also a rapist. he raped me in Unical, he should come out and deny it. we were casual sex buddies with the clause that he wasn’t in a relationship. i found out he was and went to his apartment to confront him. so he raped me.” The accuser posted on 17 February 2026.

Despite her initial defiance, the threat of a civil action for defamation appears to have prompted a change. Neo’s legal team warned that failure to comply would lead to immediate legal proceedings without further notice. The star continues to deny all claims as he seeks to restore his public reputation.
