I have finished reading Seven Surrenders by Ada Palmer. When I finished the first book in the series (https://darkfriend.social/@hybridhavoc/111976712993200601) I said that it felt incomplete without this second one. Now that I have finished it I can say that these are really phenomenal books, especially for anybody that is into political intrigue and sci-fi.

It feels like a more proper stopping place, allowing me to move on and maybe come back to the series at a later date.

I had my issues with Seven Surrenders by Ada Palmer, but I can't in good conscience give anything less than five stars to a book that gave me SO MUCH to think about.

Ok, so I remember that Too Like the Lightning had plenty 'o sex, but I don't remember it being quite as much or quite as intense as I'm seeing in the first couple chapters of Seven Surrenders.

Am I remembering wrong? Did Ada Palmer step up the sexy? It's not that I mind, at all, it's just... well, it's almost not safe to be reading at work, lol 😳
