Pogacar takes the queen stage of the Giro d’Italia: heroic Ciccone, consoles himself with the blue jersey. The general classification changes.
Sepp Kuss triumphs solo in the queen stage of the 2026 Giro d’Italia, the 151 km between Feltre and Alleghe. When Jonas Vingegaard doesn’t win, he still takes victory for his Visma-Lease a Bike: today the pink jersey controlled the race and gave the green light to his American teammate, who was simply perfect. Deceived 2.2 km from the finish line was Giulio Ciccone, who had dreamed of the feat but was forced to concede: he does console himself with the conquest of the blue jersey as the best climber, snatched right from Vingegaard after having won four of the six gpm of the day. The general classification changes: Canadian Derek Gee recovers, second to the finish line. Jay Hindley rises to third place, overtaking Thymen Arensman.
