I've voted for the #greenparty before, many years ago. That was a protest vote. But in the #senedd26 election on 7th May I'll be voting #green because they give me hope for the future despite the dark times we are in. This vote will NOT be a protest. Interesting to see how this same effect is playing out in the English local elections and Scottish/Welsh national elections this May. Increasingly, the idea of any election being seen through and island-wide prism seems fraught with difficulty as the national polities diverge. #Senedd26 #Holyrood26

Our Newport Green Party action day went well. Ten brave volunteers set off in pouring rain to leaflet Shaftesbury ward. We were joined by Young Greens,Gwent Party members and local Newport vols. Also David Mayer our Malpas Ward councillor.
Afterwards we met at Sip in Newport market for a hot drink and debrief. A great chance to get to know each other better.Altogether a good day

Today is the first action day I've organised for Newport Green Party. I'm expecting about 10 volunteers to deliver leaflets in Shaftesbury ward.
