This weekend, #MitchMcConnell was drowned out by chants for him to "Retire!" during a public appearance. The 81yo Senate Leader was speaking at one of #Kentucky's largest annual events, the #FancyFarm Picnic, just days after his infamous "frozen" episode.

Personally, the shouts were beautiful music to my ears-- even better than the musical episode of #StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds. I only wish there had been more sign-carrying #Republicans joining in on the chanting. The media has been able to paint the protest as purely Democrats.

#SenateMinorityLeader #MitchMcConnell (R-KY) inexplicably froze during a weekly press briefing. #McConnell halted mid-sentence after stuttering a moment, then stood unblinking for almost half a minute.

Sen. #JohnBarrasso (who is also a physician) was standing next to him at the time, and asked him if he was okay and wanted to continue. McConnell left for his nearby office for a short time, then returned to answer more questions.

The 81yo #Congressman merely said he was "fine" when asked about his episode. Later, his aides claimed he was having a mild dizzy spell.

Currently, there is no information if McConnell was ever taken to a hospital afterwards.
