NSM-LDOCE Non-Circular Dictionary

http://learnthesewordsfirst.com/LearnTheseWordsFirst.html

The 34 middle layers consist of 300 "semantic molecules" (Lessons 3 through 12). Words in each layer are defined using only the words from the previous layers. This sequence of layers is based on dependency-graph analysis of the non-circular NSM-LDOCE research dictionary.

NSM & BASIC ENGLISH

I'm now looking if a paper exists bridging BASIC ENGLISH and Natural Semantic Metalanguage

Ogden defined 20 000 English words in BASIC ENGLISH

if you can define all 850 BASIC ENGLISH CONCEPTS into the 65 semantic primes of NSM you would be pretty close of closing the semantic map of the English language ...

LLC1 feedback
(David Peterson) [...] Consider that John Clifford talked about aUI, Toki Pona, NSM and Lojban and how each of them used the idea of a semantic prime, and to what extend, and in some cases he was rather critical. He wasn’t necessarily passing judgment on the conlang or the conlanger (in fact, I gather he’s a fan of Toki Pona); he was merely pointing out in what ways the conlangs did or did not use semantic primes in a useful or logical or regular way. Sai might have safely done the same with other visual conlangs without igniting any flames.
